WHO

Meet some of the founding and hardcore members of QFBC!

Harrow Sansom (They/Them; Founder, Organizer): Harrow is a theatre artist and administrator. They are currently the Operations Director of Theatre of the Oppressed NYC. Their previous experience includes General Manager and Ensemble member of Honest Accomplice Theatre, a company creating devised work by women and trans people; Production Supervisor of the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Roundabout Theatre Company, and Epic Theatre Ensemble.

Favorite queer books: Juliet Takes a Breath, Fun Home, Stone Butch Blues, and Queer: A Graphic History.

Hannah Winsten (She/Her) is a copywriter and aspiring fiction author living in Harlem. She’s lived in the city for almost ten years, and has been with QFBC since its first meeting! Since joining, she's gained a wider community of queers to text when she spots Sara Ramirez in the wild, and she wouldn't want it any other way. When she’s not reading, she’s experimenting with colorful makeup, going to queer parties in Brooklyn, and working on her collection of short stories.

Favorite queer books: Stone Butch Blues, Tipping the Velvet, A Little Life, Disobedience

Kirsten Williams (She/Her) has been with QFBC since its inception and cannot imagine what these last few years would have been like without this club! As a hybrid intellectual discussion group and social hang, book club nights are the best nights out of the month. Professionally, Kirsten is a stage manager, working off-Broadway on shows such as A Letter to Harvey Milk and Hundred Days. She would like to shoutout to Holly for always keeping our ship running, and providing space for us to build our community!

Favorite queer books: Tales of the City, Juliet Takes a Breath, The Argonauts, Are You My Mother?, & Lumberjanes!

Meghan (She/Her) is a founding member of QFBC and so grateful for this caring and fabulous family! Prior to book club she could count her queer friends on one hand, now that number just keeps climbing! Each book club member brings their own unique experiences and queer journey to discussions, making every month an opportunity to learn and grow as a community. When not reading, Meghan is a marketer for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows including Come From Away, SpongeBob SquarePants, Puffs, and The Prom!

Favorite queer books: Fun Home, Tipping the Velvet, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe and Lumberjanes
